Gunguard Alkanet root

The genuine age old method of producing red oil for stock polishing.
The Alkanet root should be steeped in a clear stock oil in order to attain the depth of colour desired. A speedier method is to steep the root in a small amount of pure turpentine, then adding the 'dye' to the oil and mixing well.
